Diane Irene Hodgson

She is survived by her son; Robert William Hodgson (Deborah), daughter; Joanne Anderson (widowed), and daughter Janet Hodgson (Jack), seven grandchildren: Jacquelyn Dawn Gunderson (Dan), William Hendrick Anderson, James Robert Kelly Todd, Keith Duncan Foley, Catherine (Katie) Irene Foley (Tamara), Cheryl Ann Hodgson, David Lee Hodgson (Hicari) and 10 Great Grandchildren: Ben, Daily-anna, Kassidy, Sienna, Josh, Everest, Peyton, Hugh, Chloe and Laken, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband William Hodgson (2022); her daughter Laura Jeanne Hodgson (2021); and her grandson Gregory Wayne Anderson (2010) and his father Gregory Anderson (2022). She was the last of her immediate family, having lost her parents; Carl Herbert Walford (2007) and Irene Walford (nee Downie) (1993); Her brother Carl Herbert Walford (2017) and his wife Carol (2025) as well as her nephew Carl in 2006.

She practiced law for many years in Edmonton, having returned to school once her children were in high school. She represented the indigenous children of Northern Alberta for many years before her final retirement after several retirement attempts that never took.
