Donald John Plantinga

Soon after marrying Marilyn Elgersma, they were able to purchase a farm northwest of Neerlandia. He enjoyed farming cattle and crops and assisting neighbors when he could. Don loved antiques, hunting, attending auctions and in the later years, ice fishing. He was an active member in the Emmanuel Reformed Church and enjoyed meeting and talking to new people.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn Plantinga. Children and Grandchildren:

Trina & Trevor Molenaar; Brody, Brant and Dustin

Tanis & Conrad Wagner; Keaton and Rylee

Lyndon & Stephanie; Aaron, Troy, Elsie, Joey and Cody

Bethany & Garry Stolk; Jayden, Jack and Mercedes

Two sisters; Ella and Dora and Four brothers; Gilles, Rick, Albert and Duane.

He is predeceased by his son, Laval, parents; AEbe & Minnie, and siblings; Stewart, Joe and Annette.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday May 10, 2025 at 1:00 PM from Emmanuel Reformed Church, Barrhead.
