

Earl leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Mellody; his three children, Shannon, David (Corinne), and Codie (Jemma); and his cherished grandchildren, Brandon and Taylor (David), and Elizabeth (Codie). He will also be lovingly remembered by his sisters Mary, Joan, and Sheila; his brother Dewey (Margaret); his father-in-law Darrel; and his sisters-in-law Holly and Tina (Ken), and brother-in-law Shawn, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Earl was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Dorothy Spares; his 4 brother-in-law’s, and mother-in-law.
Earl was born in Truro, Nova Scotia, on November 18, 1949. In the summer of 1974, he made his way to Alberta, where he built a long and hard-working career in the construction and oil industry earning him the nick name “Jeeper”. After lots of persuasion from his friend, finishing his career as a consultant in the oilfield industry.
Earl’s passion for the outdoors, whether camping, fishing, or hunting with his close friends and family were among his greatest pleasures. Time spent outdoors brought him deep contentment.
Earl will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2027. Details will follow at a later date.
