Edward William Harke

Ed was born on August 27, 1953 in Barrhead, Alberta.

Ed leaves to mourn is loving wife, Dianna; children, Clayton Burke and Christine Kootenayoo; sisters, Beverly (Gary) Wagner and Brenda Teasdale; brother, Robert (Anna) Harke; brother in law, Percy (Cindy) Campbell; sister in law, Diane (Greg) Iwasuik and many other family and dear friends.

Ed is predeceased by his son, Cory Burke; parents, Olga and Adolf Harke; 5 brother in laws; 1 sister in law; 1 niece and 2 nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday November 3, 2026 at 1 PM from St. John’s Lutheran Church, Barrhead, AB. Interment to follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Donations maybe made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or Alberta Heart and Stroke or Charity of Choice.

Instead of flowers the family ask you to plant a tree in the spring in memory of Ed.

The family wish to Thank to Pastor Ben Wyatt for all the comforting words, Rose Garden Chapel (Scott Green) and Staff for all the compassion during the time of need. To the Pallbearers and Honourary Pallbearers for all the support shown to the family. To Laura Rose Catering for the wonderful lunch.

Special thanks to everyone who visited Ed. He cherished every visit, and was so appreciated of all the calls and visits to the family.
