

Evelyn Ann Mcleod was born on May 18, 1929 in Consort, Alberta. She passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026 with Ken by her side. She was the youngest of eight children born to Gilbert and Mary Ryckman. Gilbert moved his family to the Freeman River district near Fort Assiniboine in 1932. Ann lived in Freeman River until 1992, when she moved to Barrhead, Alberta.
She is predeceased by her father and mother; 7 siblings; her first husband, Bud Patterson and step-son, Larry Mcleod.
Ann is survived by her husband, Ken Mcleod; six children, Meloney (George Gillian) Patterson of Edmonton, Alberta, Bob Patterson of Busby, Alberta, Rod (Colleen) Patterson of Fort Assiniboine, Alberta, Bill Patterson of Gainsford, Alberta, Les (Debbie) Patterson of Edmonton, Alberta, and Michael Patterson of Nanaimo B.C.; She had 18 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
Ann was an accomplished homesteader and farm family wife while living in Fort Assiniboine. She worked as a home care specialist for Barrhead Health Care for 10 years while living in Barrhead.
Celebration of Life will be at the Rose Garden Chapel in Barrhead, Alberta, on Friday May 22, 2026 at 1:00 P.M
