It is with great sadness the family of George Powder announces his passing on January 25, 2013 at the age of 61. He is survived by his loving children; Roxanne, Jennifer, Camilia, Daniel, Shaun, Dean and their families; 2 sisters; Alvina (Art) Mann and Maureen Ladouceur, a very special nephew Darrell Mann and numerous other nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his parents, Maggie and Sylvester; sister Yvonne and 2 brothers; Gilbert and Sonny. At this time the family would like to express heartfelt thanks for the wonderful care George received from the doctors and nurses at the Barrhead Healthcare Centre. A Wake will be held Thursday, January 31, 2013; Friday, February 1, 2013 and the morning of February 2nd, 2013 at the Glenreagh Hall. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Barrhead United Church with Rev. Sharon Foster officiating.
