Herman Degner

Mr. Herman Degner, late of Barrhead, AB, passed away on March 13, 2016 at the age of 76 years. He is survived by his loving family; 3 children, David Degner & Carmen Sequina of Slave Lake, AB, Daniel Alvin Degner & Lisa (Carpenter) Degner of Oakland Township, Michigan, Lorraine Darlene (Degner) Stiles & Andrew Stiles of Auburn Hills, Michigan; 3 grandchildren, Children of Daniel – Ethan and Autumn, Child of Lorraine - Arianna; 2 brothers and 1 sister-in-law, Herbert (Lorna) Degner of Hinton, AB, Bert (Audrey) Degner of Barrhead, AB; Dorothy Degner of Lunnford, AB; 2 brother-in-laws, Art (Talita) Mantey of Manola, AB, and Adolph (Theresa) Mantey of Ardrossan, AB as well as numerous other family and many dear friends. Herman is predeceased by his wife Marlene Luella Degner (nee Meckelburg); brothers, William Degner of Manola, AB, Elmer Degner of High Prairie, AB; parents, Robert and Lydia Degner; in-laws, Louis and Olga Meckelburg.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from Rose Garden Chapel, with Pastor John Reimer officiating. Interment will follow in the Manola Cemetery. Donations gratefully accepted directly to The Gideons International, Box 3619, Guelph, ON, N1H 7A2.
