I just found out today about Janice's passing. My deepest sympathies to her family, friends, and especially to her nieces, who always left her encouraging notes at work - she would only allow the white board to be erased when a new message or note came!. I met Janice when I received my first teaching assignment, at O'Leary. She showed me the ropes, and kept me sane in my first few months; we quickly became friends. I followed her to Alternative Learning about 12 years ago and was glad to renew our coffee talks, and wonderful hugs! You will be sadly missed by so many. Love you always Janice, until we see each other again.

I was blessed to know Janice for over 20 years. We worked together at Lifelong Learning and Summer school. We remained good friends over the years and supported each other in tough times. We played telephone tag a lot but when we connected we had great conversations! She was happy to organize her mom’s 80th birthday party in June and was pleased it all went well. She spoke affectionately of her nieces and nephews and was always looking forward to visiting them. Janice was a gentle soul. I will miss her dearly. May peace replace heartache and warm memories remain. God Bless and Rest In Peace my friend. Love Anne

Janice was the most organized person I ever met. She will be missed dearly by all who worked with her - at O'Leary, at Sacred Heart and in regards to all aspects of Summer School.

Janice's dedication and exemplary work were admired and appreciated by all of us who worked with her. What stood out most, however, was her gracious and friendly manner and abundant patience and humour. Janice was the "go to" person who could answer almost any question. My sincerest condolences to her family and friends.

I remember Janice as a kind, caring, hard-working woman. She was attentive to detail, professional, and diligent in her service to our school. Janice valued family and friends; she always made certain to pass along her best to my parents with whom she had worked at O'leary High School. To her family and friends, I extend my deepest condolences. May she rest in peace.

I had the wonderful pleasure of working with Janice over a number of summer school sessions and she was always supportive, filled with good humor and went the extra mile to make the experience positive for all of us.
Now is her time to find peace and to relish in the eternal company of the Saints in heaven.
I share my gratitude for the gift of Janice, and my sadness is replaced by the hope that she demonstrated in living her faith. May Janice rest in peace and in the presence of the Lord whom she served so well.

Janice was my hero, she inspired me to fight and to move forward. I only spent a short time with her, but it felt like I have known her forever. I would always come down to say hi or to see her smile. Thank you for helping me when, I was at ECSD.

Thank you for the kindness, the love, and sharing your spirit with all of us.

I will always miss you, I will be attending the service. My condolences to your family.

Janice and I worked closely for many years and I always loved her like a sister because she always had my back no matter what.. She is a fine confidant, colleague and friend and I am truly saddened by her untimely passing.. As much as it pains me, I cannot attend the service because I had just arrived in BC for the purposes of seeing my own family and I KNOW Janice would be annoyed at me if I were to call that off.. God Bless...

I am so sad to hear of Janice’s passing. You couldn’t ask for a kinder more thoughtful person to work with. Through all her health issues and battles she never complained and always met you with a smile. Unfortunately I will not be able to make it to her funeral to tell her family how much she will be missed.
