Johan Goertzen

Born on October 1, 1980, in Mexico, John was the beloved son of Abram and Maria Goertzen and a cherished brother to Jake (Helen), Rick (Susie), Abe (Tina), Dave (Natalie), Peter (Janice), and Amos (Tanya) Goertzen, as well as Martha (Ben) Wiebe. Throughout his life, he was known for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

John is lovingly remembered by his mother, Maria Goertzen; his siblings; and his many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and close friends who will deeply miss his presence. He was predeceased by his father, Abram Goertzen, who passed away in January 2021.

John found great joy in being an uncle and shared a special bond with his nieces and nephews. His devotion to his family, loyalty to his friends, and generous spirit will be remembered always.

Funeral service will be held at the Rose Garden Chapel in Barrhead on Thursday July 9th at 2pm.
