

With sorrow, we announce the sudden passing of our loving dad, Ken Wold. Kenneth Arthur Wold was born in Galahad, Alberta on September 3rd, 1942, to Arthur and Helen Wold. He passed away peacefully on October 20th at his home. Ken was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marie, whom he missed dearly. Family meant everything to Ken. He leaves to mourn his three children: Jana (Ted), Greg (Lil), and Stacy (Byron), children, grand/great children: Chelsea (Michael) Teagan, Caden and Riley, Eric (Rachelle), Samuel (Maylanie), Elyse (Charlie), Ian (Katie), Anna and Maia. Ken will be remembered with much love by his siblings: Dale (Sylvia deceased), Dianne (Brian), and Robert (Darlene); as well as, brother-in-law, Les (Jane) Uhazy. He was extremely fond of his many nieces and nephews and extended family members. Dad always took the time and showed a great interest in their lives. Ken loved to laugh and socialize and had many meaningful friendships throughout his life. He had a long career as a well respected and loved teacher. His United Church family was central to his faith and daily life. He and Marie provided much volunteer support and truly loved their community. We appreciate the love and support of everyone whose lives were touched by our dad.
A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at Rose Garden Chapel on Monday, November 17th at 11:00 a.m. The service will be live streamed, please look below for the direct link to watch. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Barrhead United Church or the charity of your choice.
