

Mom was a steady light, guiding with strength, compassion, and gentle wisdom through every season of life. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on through all who knew her.
Born on a cold winter day, January 25, 1943, Linda was the only child born on the Haltiner family farm in Meadowview AB.
She met the love of her life, Steve Nels Holsted, at the local county fair in Barrhead. The two married in the summer of 1962, beginning a beautiful life together and raising four daughters.
Linda will be deeply missed by her three surviving daughters and their families, Tammy (Dan) Hornby,
Teresa (Keith) McGrath and Bonnie (Alan) Holt.
She is lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren, Nathan (Megan) Holt, Denise (Dallas) Massey, Maryanne (Reuben) King, Carmen McGrath, Spencer McGrath, Matthew Hornby, and Giovanni Paolo Anselmo; and by her six great-grandchildren, Hadley, Benson, and Boen Holt, and Atticus, Remy, and Oliver Massey.
Linda is also survived by her siblings, Norman (Jean) Haltiner, Emil Haltiner, Judy Dables, Darlene (Dennis) Green, Rita Johnson, and Glen (Lana) Haltiner.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Steve Holsted; her parents, Wanda and Johann Haltiner; and her dear daughter, Dana Scott; and many other loved family members.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Chapel in Barrhead, Alberta.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s memory to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.
