Roger, Bonnie, Judy, Sandy and families.
As you will recall mom Margaret, was more than a friend to us. She was a pillar within our Kananaskis Connection - of more than 30 years - and  valuable contributor to a life of joy and pleasure.
Margaret will be missed by all.

Auntie Margaret is who I always knew you as.  My heart is very broken that your time had come but I take comfort that you and my dad are in Heaven and your bodies are renewed.  

I remember the visits to the farm.  Your food was always from the land.  Your salads always had interesting new ingredients.  You were always so proud of your garden.  The grown ups would stay up playing and us children would play long into the night, except me who always got tired early.  You would give me your bed to sleep in.  You would make sure I was snuggled in and felt safe and secure before going back to join the grown ups.  

I miss those days with you the most.  

See you when I get to Heaven!  I am looking forward to having one of your jams!  



To Roger, Bonnie, Judy, Sandy and families…. Stan and I extend our sincerest condolences. I remember such good times in the Cosmo community back in the early 80’s…. Margaret was one of the community members who welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like family. I still have and cherish the cook book that was given to us. Our families entwined over the years and we remained good friends. May you find comfort in the days ahead knowing you are being thought of. 

My dear sweet cousin. You will missed so much. Your knowledge of family history was  outstanding.  I will miss our phone calls and the many giggles.  May your soul reconnect with may other family in heaven. I will miss you until eternity.

Margaret will forever be remembered in our family as the maker of soup.  She was so good to me personally on my trips to Barrhead when my parents were in care.  Just after Christmas of 2021, I arrived in Barrhead to a fridge full of Christmas Dinner leftovers - the BEST kind!   I enjoyed my chats with her in person and on the phone.  She was a kindhearted soul and I will miss her!

The main memories I have of grandma always  seem to come back to her in the kitchen. It didn't matter if it was a family gathering, playing outside, a friend stopping by or celebrating a holiday. She always made sure you had a good time and that you never left wanting anything.

I remember visiting grandma and grandpa on the farm. I was angry with my mom and had gone to join grandma in the garden. When my mom walked by, I stuck my tongue out at mom behind her back. Grandma saw me and I thought I was in trouble but she just laughed and kept my secret.

I remember most about mom is that she was an advocate. If she thought there was an injustice, she was on the phone or writing a letter to try to make things right.

I remember grandma at a family gathering at the farm when all the kids got in a water fight. Grandma was having trouble walking at that time but she didn't let that stop her. She put on a water poncho, got on her scooter with a water gun and joined in the fun

Ed and I send our sympathy to Roger and their children..   Margaret and I would talk on the phone taking turns to call one another...We shared memories about our walking to the one room school  and who lived on the old homesteads along the road.... Also how she enjoyed visiting and helping our Grandparents when she was a  young girl.  Not long ago she talked about how she and Roger used to go to community dances  and how she loved to dance..She missed dancing..  Most of all she spoke about how she loved her family...I will miss her . 
 She was a dear cousin..

Dear Uncle Roger and Family, I am so sorry for your loss.
Although it's been a long time since I had seen auntie Margaret, I have many fond memories, when I was younger, having fun times with Judy, Bonnie and Sandy at your home just outside of Sangudo. When I think of auntie Margaret I think of those welcome signs that some people have outside of their homes because she always made you feel welcome and at home. She was such a calm, gentle person who made me laugh.  She had a natural sense of humor; she didn't try to be funny, she just naturally was.  Rest in peace auntie Margaret.  My thoughts go out to all of you as you go through this difficult time.
