Thinking of Olive, have many fond memories of our time in Peavine.

My wife, Joan, and I are very sorry to learn of Olive's passing in the obituary in the Barrhead Leader.  Unfortunately, we learned of it too late to be able to attend the service.  However, we do want Olive's family and friends to know the part she played in our lives.  I worked for 10 years as a tour guide for Meier Travel and with the help of my wife, we planned and guided quite a few tours.  Olive and Ron were on a good many of those tours.  I did a bit of checking and Olive had taken 31 tours with Meier Travel and aside from a few done by Brian Key, Laurie Meier and Dan Simoneau, we had the pleasure of their company on most of the tours.  Some were short (one day) and some longer (up to a week). 
 Olive and Ron were wonderful to have as friends and clients.  They were always cheerful and supportive, even when things did not go perfectly.  I was always happy when I saw them come in to book another trip.  Though I've not traveled with her for several years now, I did run into her occasionally downtown and enjoyed a bit of reminiscing with her.  I will miss those occasions.  Thank you, Olive, for the joy you brought to our lives with your smile and good humor.

Dear Erickson Family,
May you find comfort in each other and in the stories and memories you must surely be sharing. We will be thinking of you tomorrow and send our love to all. Auntie Olive was all about family and clearly loved all of you. What a spirit she was . . . always light-hearted, optimistic and a good soul who cherished the life she lived and the people in it. I will remember her understated jokes and her sweet laugh.
Rest in peace dear Auntie Olive. We will miss you and treasure  rich memories of you.  God bless you.

Our deepest sympathy and warmest thoughts to you all in the passing of our dear Aunt Olive.  Her gracious warm smile and cheerfulness will be greatly missed.  She loved growing beautiful flowers and we'll never forget our picture with her and her 'flower tree.'  She is our very dear aunt and we will remember her with

Our thoughts are with you all on the loss of your mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Auntie Olive will be remembered by us for her welcoming smile, her laughter, sense of humour and positiveness.  Listening to her recall stories of the past was always interesting and informative.  Auntie Olive and I always shared our "chicken for supper" story each time we visited and lots of laughs were always had!  We will miss her much!

It's never easy to lose a parent, but a mom holds a special place in our hearts.  Olive was always such a lady to me, and she will be missed.  My sympathies go to all her family.
