Randy Walter Ryks

Randy Walter Ryks, 56 years old of Clairmont, Alberta passed away May 31, 2026. Born in Barrhead, AB, Randy became a Heavy Duty Mechanic, starting his career in Barrhead then later moving to Grande Prairie to work for Weatherford. He was an avid hunter and loved fishing especially when he could enjoy both hobbies with his family and friends. Randy loved being a grandfather (Pops) to his 3 beautiful grandchildren, Sophie (10), Jolene (5) and Levi (2). He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Randy was predeceased by his parents Walter & Terry Ryks, sisters Barbara Randel and Brenda Ryks and mother in-law Shirley Carstairs.

He is survived by his wife Shelly, daughter Courtney (Morgan) Wereley, grandkids Sophie, Jolene & Levi. Youngest sister Gail (Colt) Davidson, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews as well as numerous extended family members & friends.

A private service will be held at a later date.
