Sadly, Alice Faye Mayo Richardson of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on October 4, 2024, at the age of 83. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who was always there, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. She is missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Eldred Lee Richardson, son, Tony Lee Richardson (Lisa), parents Gus Monroe Mayo and Iva Alice Black Mayo, and sister Evelyn Joy Mayo Kelly (Clifford).
She leaves behind her daughter Kelly Michelle Richardson Kennedy (Andy), three grandchildren Nichole Michelle Sweatt Fayette (Nicholas), Sean Keith Kolb, and Cameron Neil Richardson, four great grandchildren Brayden Keith Kolb, Jase Kolb, Gavyn Parker Fayette, and Riley Ethan Fayette, along with 4 step grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren.
She was always busy, working on geneology, creative writing, putting together photo albums, reading, and numerous other things. She loved to travel and was always ready to go somewhere, it didn't matter where. She was a proud member of Daughters of the American Revolution, and Daughters of the Confederacy.
A visitation for Alice will be held Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A celebration of life will occur Monday, October 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A committal service will occur Monday, October 14, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Christian Chapel Cemetery, 290 Christian Chapel Rd, Cedar Grove, TN 38321.
