Barbara Ann Holland Jones, age 73, of Byhalia, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. Barbara is survived by her husband of 53 years, Tommy Jones; her daughter Karen and stepson David; and siblings Donna Smith, Jeff Holland, Randy Holland, and Kenny Davis. Barbara was a surrogate mother to many nieces and nephews who will also miss her dearly. Barbara was a devoted member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Collierville, Tennessee, and The Order of the Daughters of the King. Barbara semi-retired after approximately 40 years working for Atlas Van Lines, latterly as Company Treasurer for the Memphis franchise. Barbara loved walking in the outdoors, spending quiet time in prayer and meditation, and watching reality TV shows about cooking and home improvement. Barbara was a cancer survivor in 2019, but a recent recurrence proved too much for her physical body to bear. While Barbara will be sorely missed by all who knew her wonderful personality, generosity, love and kindness, we know that her spirit has passed into a better place, where she will be received by previously departed family members with open arms. Visitation and funeral services for Barbara will take place at St. Andrews Church on Monday, December 4, 2023; visitation from 11:00am-2:00pm, and funeral service at 2:00pm. Burial, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN, will follow the funeral service.
