Barbara J. Kuhn

Barbara June Kuhn, age 63, born on June 22, 1947, passed away quietly Friday, April 1, 2011 after an extended illness. Raised in South Memphis, Barbara graduated from South Side High School. She served the City of Memphis Fire Department for 37 years in Fire Administration. She is survived by her parents, retired Fire Captain Gordon and Margaret Kuhn, and also her three sisters, Gail Harris of Coldwater, MS, Charlotte Smith & Terry of Potts Camp, MS, Marilyn Annestedt & Jim of Germantown, TN and brother retired Deputy Chief Don Kuhn & Janet of Millington, TN. Her family, friends and co-workers loved her for her quick wit, lively sense of humor, and true friendship. She will be missed by her extended family and friends. The family will receive friends this afternoon, Sunday, April 3 from 3-6 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Funeral services will be Monday, April 4 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with interment to follow in memorial Gardens, formerly Memory Hill Gardens The family requests that memorials be sent to the Elvis Presley Trauma Center-Firefighters Burn Unit in lieu of flowers.
