Barbara Bain Ray, 90, of Bartlett passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis. Barbara Ray was born on April 6, 1920 in Mississippi. She retired from Memphis City Schools. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, James and Nellie Bain and her eleven brothers and sisters. She leaves her daughter Joan Ray of Bartlett, TN and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Barbara lived each day by the verse: “This is the day that the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118: 24). She will be missed by her family, friends and many students whose lives she touched throughout her ninety years on this earth. She is now a beautiful Angel! Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 19 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N.
