Bette Ruth Hunter, 97, of Slidell, LA, formerly of Memphis, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 at her home. She was a devoted and loving mother and wife, was of the Lutheran Faith and worked with paraplegic patients at Kennedy Hospital. Mrs. Hunter, the widow of Robert W. Hunter, Sr. is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Bette Hunter and Jim Coatney and a son, Robert W. Hunter, Jr., all of Slidell. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters. Graveside services are at 3 p.m., Wednesday, January 14, in Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. in Bartlett, TN.
