Betty Sue Smith, 74, of Memphis, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, James E. Smith. Mrs. Smith is survived by her children, Deby Sandlin and her husband Paul, both of Bartlett, TN., and Cindy Fitzgerald and her husband Mark, both of Raeford, NC., six grandchildren, Matthew, James, Adam, Lori, Steven, and Michelle, several great-grandchildren, and siblings Jolane Medlin and her husband James, and David Goodwin. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, September 2 from 4-6 p.m. with a funeral starting at 6 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd.
