Bonita Smith

Bonita Gail Smith, 41, of Millington, TN passed away Monday, November 11, 2013. She was born to the late Joseph E. Smith and Shelia K. Frederick on September 29, 1972 in Honolulu, HI. Bonita is survived by her son, Christopher J. Welch, and her mother Shelia K. Chandler. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. Many people say there is nothing like a mother's love, and they are right. Bonita was a wonderful person who showed love to everyone she came in contact with. She was caring and beautiful inside and out. She loved life, her family, and her friends. Bonita taught many to do the same. She raised her son to be a strong, young man. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through the last few years. She will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her illness. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2013, and a funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013 both at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N, Germantown Road, Bartlett, Tennessee 38133.
