16, 2022. He was born on November 13, 1980 in Memphis, Tenn., to Bruce and Alice
(Busch).
Growing up, Eddie spent time in Memphis, TN, Dryden, NY and Sioux City, IA,
before settling back down in Memphis. In 2018, Eddie married his true love, Cassandra
Cordingly, whose son, Ian, was quickly embraced by Eddie as his own. Together, Eddie
and Cassandra went on to welcome two beautiful children together, Braxton and Piper.
Eddie adored being a family man, finding pure joy in spending all his free moments with
his family. Second only to the adoration for his cherished family, was Eddie’s fervent
passion for the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. He was thrilled this year to
celebrate not just one, but both of his favorite teams earning National Championship
titles. Besides his appreciation for Georgia sports, Eddie also enjoyed cooking and
discovering new restaurants. If you named a city, he would be ready with a suggestion
for the best restaurant to visit. Eddie had the ability to make everyone feel as if they
were the only person in the room. He was truly charismatic, seen by the way that he
was able to instantly connect with those around him, regardless of knowing them a
minute or a lifetime.
Eddie is survived by his beloved wife, Cassandra; sons, Ian and Braxton; daughter,
Piper; parents, Alice and Bob Hoberg, stepmother, Desiree Cavender; sisters, Kim,
Katie (Brandon), Ashton (George), Heather (Jeremy), Beverly (Marina), Sarah; brother,
Bobby (Alyssa); aunts, Beverly and Joyce; mother-in-law, Sandra; brother-in-law, Travis
(Eric); and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by Grandma Billie
Busch; his father, Bruce Cavender; Uncle Adolphus Bailey; and father-in-law, Milton Cordingly.
