Bruce Eldon Young, age 84, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 surrounded by his family. Bruce was born February 28, 1937 to the late Frank and Anne Young in Steele, Missouri. He served in the AirForce where he met his wife of 63 years, Kandy Oishi. While enlisted he served at the Funabashi Transmitter Site in Japan. Bruce retired from American Airlines as a Supervisor at Memphis International Airport after 30 years. Bruce was an avid Memphis Tigers Fan and a life long St. Louis Cardinals Fan. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Kandy Oishi, his daughters; Trish Young (Dorothy), Naomi Wardlaw (Bill), Diane Blalock (Keith), his 6 grandchildren; Bryce, Chad (Monique), Brandon, Emma, Lexie, and Abby, his 4 great grandchildren; Sloane, Steel, Shiloh, Salem, and his sister, Wilma June.
A graveside service for Bruce will be held Monday, October 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133 with visitation held prior from 12:30pm to 1:30pm.
