Charles Edward McCombs, 85 of Cordova passed away, April 23, 2012. Charles was born in Galena, Kansas on April 11, 1927 to John and Etta Mae McCombs. He served in the United States Army. Charles is survived by his wife of 68 years, Patricia McCombs; children John C. and Elizabeth McCombs and James F McCombs and Donna Mansfield; grandchildren, Sean, Margaret, Kevin, Kathleen and Colin; great grandchildren Caroline, Kathleen and Colin; siblings Gary and Emma Jean. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Etta Mae McCombs; siblings John, Jr. Harry and Doris. Charles was a truly generous man who loved his home and family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 2pm, the family will receive friends prior to service from 1-2 pm all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road.
