Charles "Chuck" M. Sammons, 71, of Cordova, TN died September 21, 2010 at his residence. Charles was a retired salesman for Oscar Mayer,
a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, an avid golfer and was drafted as a professional basketball player after his college days.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Germantown Rd.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with burial at Memorial Gardens, (formerly memory Hill Gardens).
Mr.Sammons leaves his wife of 46 years, Katherine A. Sammons; Three children, Two Grandchildren. Special thanks to Dr. Barry Boston and the UT Medical staff. Memorial may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Chuck's name, since no child should have cancer
