David Alan Boshell

David Alan Boshell born July 23, 1946 went to his heavenly home July 29, 2025. Survived by his wife, Joyce Marie Moffit Boshell, of 50 years. Daughter Kimberly, Dawn Carlisle Lozano (Marco), granddaughters Natasha Marie McCarty (Noah), Brittany Nicole McCarty(Lucas) And nephew Bradley Raybeck and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil, King Boshell, and Nina Marie Norwood Boshell, as well as one sister Martha Elizabeth Boshell Raybeck.

David enlisted and served honorably in the United States Army from 1964 through 1968, he reached the rank of SP5. During his tenure, he was based in Germany, BRTY 4th BN Arty As a Hercules missile crewman. Dave worked for various telecommunication companies until his retirement in 2011.

He was a devout Christian, member and Deacon of Faith Baptist Church also a member of the Gideons Dave had several close friends both local and long-distance. He sent out emails with spiritual encouragement daily to over 100+ people he enjoyed reading, spiritual books, listening to gospel music, shooting some hoops, taking bike rides and most of all taking evening walks with his beautiful bride.

A visitation for David will be held Monday, August 4, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 4, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A graveside service will occur Monday, August 4, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road, Memphis, TN 38134. A gathering of friends and family for food and fellowship will occur Monday, August 4, 2025 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
