David Glen Harris

David Glen Harris passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on September 22, 1946, to Ted and Neoma Harris. David was known as “Big Daddy” to his grandchildren he was known for his love of Ole Miss athletics, his talkative nature and never meeting a stranger. David is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Jan Harris.

David spent his early career as a mechanic in the United State Air Force and later moved into Agricultural Finance where he spent the remainder of his career.

David is survived by his two sons, John David (Timmie) of Baton Rouge, LA and Daniel Glen (Josie) of Memphis, TN. His legacy continues through his three grandchildren: Autumn Gabriella, Kaitlyn Alexandra and Riley Isabella, all of Baton Rouge, LA.

In David’s personal time, he enjoyed watching Ole Miss football, taking trips to the casino with his brother in law, Poke and spending the holidays with family.

Visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, located at 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN, 38133, on January 15, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at the same venue on January 15, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:34 pm.

A graveside service with honors will follow at Memory Hill Gardens, also located at 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN, 38133, on January 15, 2026, from 2:45 pm to 3:15 pm.
