David Rogers, 83, of Bartlett, Tennessee went to his Heavenly home on Monday, January 24, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital. He was born August 16, 1938. He retired from CSX and loved all things railroad. David also served in the US Army for 6 years. He was an avid Miami Dolphins and Hurricanes fan and enjoyed playing golf. He was a devoted family man and loved nothing more than spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his parents, Conley and Laura Dell Rogers. He is survived by his wife, Gail, of Bartlett, TN, as well as his sons, David W. Rogers, Jr. (Lois) of Charleston, SC, Doug Rogers (Penny) of Atoka, TN, and his daughter, Deborah Rogers Ward (Michael) of Bartlett, TN. He is also survived by three grandchildren, D.J. Rogers (Amanda), Alex Ward, and Kalyn Ward and one great grandchild, Kohen Rogers, and his brother, L.C. “Rock” Rogers of Franklin, NC.
The family will receive visitors at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, on Tuesday, February 1st from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The service will be held on Wednesday, February 2nd at 10:00 a.m.
