DORIS JEAN HANEY went to her home in heaven on February 22, 2013. She was born to Naomi Hill Haney and Elbert Fletcher Haney on November 23, 1931. A native Memphian, she graduated fromTreadwell High School and from Miller-Hawkins Business School. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Elbert Floyd Haney. Doris retired from Edward LeMaster Company after 41 years as secretary and office manager. She was formerly a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday School. She was a member of Broadmore Baptist Church and a member of the choir. Doris was also a member of the American Business Association and of The Raleigh Community Council. Visitation will be held Monday, February 25 at 1 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church with the funeral following at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Memphis Memory Hills Garden on Raleigh LaGrange Road.
