Dorthy E. Buttry, 86, of Germantown passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Grace Healthcare-Cordova. She was a retired bookkeeper and loved line dancing as she taught many classes during her life. Dorthy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Buttry; brothers, Frank and Jimmy Walden. She is survived by her children, Charles R. Buttry (Lea) of Cordova, Beth A. Heatherington (Steve) of Fayetteville, GA and Ashley N. Buttry of Memphis; grandchildren, David Cowart, Payten G. Buttry, Jack Buttry and Anthony Capobianco; and brother, Richard Walden of Jonesboro, AR. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN. A private family graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2016 at Jonesboro Memorial Park, 3910 Harrisburg Rd, Jonesboro, AR. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
