Edward Charles Moore, Junior was born March 29, 1954 to Edward Charles and Virginia Rogers Moore. “Ed” was preceded in death by his father, brother Dr. Brent Alan Moore, and is survived by his mother, his brother Pete Moore of Chattanooga, Tennessee and his sister Virginia Claire Moore of Cape Coral, Florida.
Edward Moore is survived by his son Steven Moore, his wife Ann Mitchell Moore, granddaughter Emma, and grandson Gabe of Roanoke, Texas and by his son David Moore, his wife Katrina, and grandson Cameron Moore of Memphis.
Ed Moore graduated from Overton High School and Cumberland College. He was retired from the University of Tennessee. He was an Eagle Scout and loved to help other people. Many people would describe him as the hardest working and most honest man they knew. Ed was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. His world was centered on his wife and family.
Our pain can only be lessened by the knowledge that Edward and Barbara are with their God in Heaven with no more pain, no more strife, and at peace.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Mr. Moore's honor to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
