Edwin Earl Farmer

Edwin (Ed) Earl Farmer, 71, of Springville, TN passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Friday November 27 with the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Interment will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens. Ed was born on January 18, 1944 in Avon, MS to the late Reed and Myrtle Aldy Farmer. He was in the U.S. Marines for four years, retired from UPS after 34 years of service and was a loyal Ole Miss fan. He also loved his golf cart, socializing with his neighborhood friends and was a member of Russwood Baptist Church in Springville, TN. Mr. Farmer, the husband of Linda Goudy Farmer also leaves two daughters, Vickie (Vic) Keys of Munford and Kimberly Farmer Shanks of Hernando, MS; two sons, Ricky Farmer of Springville and Kevin (Heather) Farmer of Hernando, MS; nine grandchildren, Austin Farmer, Dylan Farmer, Darbi Keys, Kayleigh Keys, Honey Farmer, Nicholas Shanks, Sophie Grace Shanks, Owen Farmer and Scarlett Farmer; one brother, Larry (Betty) Farmer of Southaven, MS and one sister, Joan (Tommy) Williams of Greenville, MS. He was also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by a brother, John Farmer. A memorial service will be held at Russwood Baptist Church in Springville at a later date.
