Emily Dacus Prescott

Emily Dacus Prescott, 81, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on October 27, 2024. She was born on September 15, 1943, in Memphis to the late Bruce and Nell Dacus. Emily was preceded in death by her beloved son, David Ted Prescott.

She is survived by her devoted daughters, Teresa Parr (Herbert “George”) and Pinki Lower (Chuck); her cherished grandchildren, David Hill, Tommy Prescott, Ricky Prescott, Charles Lower, and Heather Coulston; and her adoring great-grandchildren, Katelyn Hill, Riley Prescott, Ophelia Prescott, Zayne Long, Ben Prescott, Owen Prescott, Ricky Prescott, Jr., Joshua Coulston, and Leland Coulston.

Emily had a passion for adventure, especially enjoying Alaskan cruises, which brought her immense joy.

In honor of Emily’s memory, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Arbor Day Foundation.

Friends are invited to gather with the family from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, located at 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road, Memphis, TN.
