Eric was born on March 30, 1973 at Hahn Air Base, Germany to Dan and Kris Beaty. He was a birthday present to his dad. Eric grew up as a military child living on Air Force bases in places such as Columbus Ohio; San Antonio, Texas; Ft Walton Beach, Florida; Minot, North Dakota, and Prattville, AL. After graduating Prattville High School in 1990, he had the opportunity to live in New Orleans, Louisiana; Mobile, Alabama; Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Memphis, Tennessee. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English and History from the University of South Alabama in 2001 and went on to be successful in retail for companies such as Walden Books, Barnes and Noble, and Lit Jr.
Eric had a passion for history. He also loved reading fiction, nonfiction and collecting comic books and other works of graphic novel art. He was avid about helping others explore the world of books and always quick to help someone with their writings by offering his assistance as an editor. He enjoyed music, movies, trivia, and pop culture and was known to quote lines from a movie, with perfect timing for the moment. He cared deeply about the people he worked with, was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and kind and compassionate spirit.
He is survived by his Grandmother Marie Beaty, his father Dan, his mother Kris, his brother Bradley, sister- in- law Tristan, nephew Gabriel and several cousins.
