Freda G. Tate

Freda G. Tate of Marysville, Ohio formerly of Walls, Mississippi and Memphis passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Gables of Green Pastures in Marysville, OH. She retired from a Memphis Kroger’s Store where she worked in the Deli. While living in Walls, she was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. She leaves behind a daughter, Beverly (Tom) Pollard of Marysville, Ohio, a son, Thomas W. (Cathy) Tate III, of Oak Island, NC, a daughter-in-law, Sherry Tate of Cordova, TN, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, a sister, Virginia Jones of Delaware, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Blain in 1952 and her second husband, Thomas Tate, Jr. in 2010, a son, Gary L. Tate in 2008, her parents and 3 brothers and 2 sisters. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 15th from 12 - 1 p.m. with the funeral at 1 p.m. and the entombment after. Everything will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
