

George was a retired bricklayer, stonemason, masonry mechanic, masonry contractor, and restaurant owner “Braden Station. “ He was born in New York City, NY on July 17, 1929 and graduated from Stubenville High School Stubenville, Ohio. George completed his bricklayer apprenticeship in 1950 with Bricklayers Local No. 1 of Tennessee. He worked as a bricklayer for several years and assisted his father with the wall in front of Graceland. George later became a masonry contactor for 32 years and helped with several major Masonry projects in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. He was an avid gun enthusiast and historian. Most of all he was a devoted family man.
George is survived by his loving wife and companion of 66 years JO Ann B. Jensen; two sons George Reb Jensen (Carolyn), Chris Lee Jensen (Jennifer), one daughter Kim Loraine Graves (Terry). He also leaves ten grandchildren Justin Reb Jensen, Ashleigh Elizabeth Pace, Jarrod Alan Jensen, Matthew Ross Jensen (Kristen), Bridgett Michelle Graves, Brittney Alyson Graves, Chris Kyle Jensen, Miranda Lee Russell (Tray), Christopher Allen Jensen, and Mary Elizabeth Hobday (Andrew); six great grandchildren Chandler Elizabeth Pace, Harper Clair Pace, Eugene “Dru” Russell, Brylee Russell, and Reagan Grace Graves.
He was preceded in death by his Mother Mary Ann Booker Jensen of Memphis and his Father Charles R. Jensen, who immigrated to the United States from Denmark and became an American Citizen and a sister Margaret who passed away in Memphis at the age of 4 years old.
The family will receive friends from 5pm until 8pm, on Monday, August 29, 2016, with funeral services at 10am, on Tuesday August 30, 2016, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN 38133, with celebrant Jonathan Matthews officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Hill East Cemetery Mausoleum.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials donations be made to an animal rescue group or charity of choice.
