George H. Murphy, 80, of Hernando, MS, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013. He was a U.S. Army veteran, retired farmer and a loving father, grandfather and brother. Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Sue M. Murphy. He is survived by his two sons, Daniel L. (Regina) Murphy of Hernando, MS and David M. (Stephanie) Murphy of Mandeville, LA; a sister, Linda Murphy of Heber Springs, AR; a brother, William E. Murphy of Memphis; and three grandsons, Matthew M. Murphy, Daniel Houston Murphy and William Francis Murphy. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, August 26 in Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will gather beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd.
