Gloria J Elder

GLORIA ELDER, 74, of Collierville, passed away July 16, 2011. Gloria was a member of Cherokee Baptist Church and retired from Walmart. She was a member of and enjoyed the Pink Palace, Memphis Zoo, Playhouse on the Square and the Harrell Theater. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Thomas Elder; brothers Paul Douglas Belton and Ronald Belton. She is survived by her son Michael (Debora) Elder; daughters Deborah Elder Parrott, Rebecca (Joseph) Edwards, Mary Elizabeth (Michael) Redding, Judith Lynn Perkins; sister Glenda Belton Henley; brother Glenn Belton; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and longtime friends Jim and Mae. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 18 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral service with interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday July 19 all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road.
