

H. S. “Gerre” GERREGANO, 75, of Cordova, died Sunday morning, October 16, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was born and reared in Nashville and attended Duncan College Prep School and Battle Ground Academy, where he graduated. He attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville, where he was a Lambda Chi. He joined the Army and served in Japan before returning home to get married. He transferred to Memphis with Great American Insurance Co. and later went to work for Kemmons Wilson, where he later served as President of his insurance company. Gerre loved life, loved his family, and loved his friends. He was predeceased by his beautiful wife, Ellyn Lollar Gerregano and his parents, H.S. and Dolly Gerregano. He leaves his four children, Buddy Gerregano (Marcie) of Las Vegas, NV, Tony Gerregano of Bartlett, Andy Gerregano (Wendy) of Corinth, MS, Libby Darnall (Doug) of Cordova; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Caitlin, Megan (Brian), Sara, Andrea (Richard), Peter, Macey and Jake, and two great-grandsons; sister, Beverly (Charlie) Everett of Jacksonville, FL, and brother, Bobby (Connie) Gerregano of Gainsboro, TN, and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 18 from 5-7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. A Memorial service will be Wednesday, October 19 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Covenant Methodist Church, 8350 Walnut Grove Rd. or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Online condolences may be made at
