Harvey Junior Upshaw, 81, of Rossville passed away May 31, 2011. The youngest of 13 children he was born in Iola, KS to Harvey Thomas and Nancy Elizabeth Lindenstruth Upshaw. Harvey served in the United States Navy and was a retiree of both MLG&W and Seessel’s Supermarkets. He was a member of Germantown Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell Upshaw and granddaughter Bethany McCarver. He is survived by his children Janine McCarver Johnson, Steve and Debbie Upshaw, Dawn and Richard Hickey; grandchildren Lindsay McCarver, Daniel McCarver, Tristan Hickey, Ashton Hickey; great grandchildren Mason McCarver and Alex McCarver; siblings Virginia Upshaw Lasley, Ruby Leonard and Ralph Upshaw. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 3 from 5-8 pm; services will be on Saturday, June 4 at 10 am all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens Germantown Pky Chapel.
