Helen Jean McNeal, 72, of Memphis, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents Mable Marie and Howard Jones, a brother Thomas Jones and a sister Stella Jones Paschall. Mrs. McNeal is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Gary McNeal, children Michael McNeal of Memphis, TN. and Tammy Cavness of Tishomingo, MS., five grandchildren Heather McVeigh of Harvest, AL., Hannah Walls, Mitchell Walls, and Eliza Cavness all of Tishomingo, MS., and Alexandria McNeal of Memphis, TN., two brothers Willis Jones of Walls, MS., and Farris Jones of Harrisburg, AR., and two sisters Patsy Shadrick of Chattanooga, TN. and Brenda Jones of Memphis, TN. Mrs. McNeal traveled the world. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her whole family. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 24 from 6-8pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. There will be a funeral on Thursday at 10am also at the funeral home. There will be a burial to follow at Akins Cemetery in Vanndale, Arkansas at 2pm.
