Henry (Hank) Rew Sloan, Sr. passed away on February 5, 2025, at the age of 82. A 1961 graduate of Southside High School, he attended Memphis State University, where he met Martha Ann Loomis, his beloved wife of 60 years.
Hank was preceded in death by his parents, Bettye and Elisha Sloan. He is survived by his wife Martha Ann; sons Rew (Stephanie) of Franklin, TN, and Stephen of Spring Hill, TN; and grandchildren Brittany Sloan of Deerfield Beach, FL, Braden Sloan of Chattanooga, TN, and Hayden Sloan of Franklin, TN.
A dedicated member of Memphis First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 299, and Eastern Star Chapter Woodlawn #74, Hank will be remembered for his commitment to faith, family, and service.
Services will be held at Memphis First United Methodist Church, 204 N 2nd St (corner of 2nd St and Poplar Ave) on February 14, 2025, with visitation at 11 AM and the service at 12 PM. Burial will follow at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, at 2 PM.
