James Paul Barker, 70, of Oakland, TN passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017. He was a former police officer with Memphis Police Department and veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam. Mr. Barker was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Barker; and is survived by his daughter, Dawn Raymond of Oakland, TN; and granddaughter, Katherine Raymond of Oakland, TN. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens.
