James B. McFarland, 68, of Southaven, MS., passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife Vivian Biggert McFarland, daughters Deb Bercume (Steve) of Somers, CT., and Pamela Walsh of Enfield, CT., sons Joseph Scott Gilbert (Heather) of Volluntown, CT., and Daniel Gilbert of Groton, CT., grandchildren Charlotte Ward and Victoria Gilbert both of Volluntown, CT., and Marissa Phel of Somers, CT., brothers-in-law John Biggert (Sheri) of Memphis, TN., and Barry Biggert (Gail) of Horn Lake, MS., and a sister-in-law Pamela Howell (Mike) of Memphis, TN. Mr. McFarland retired as Assistant Director at Lebanon Pines, Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (SCADD) in 2004.
