James R. Woodard, Sr., 70, of Millington, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at his home. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Mr. Woodard, the husband of Linda Woodard, also leaves 4 daughters, Carol Brown of Southaven, MS, Annie Downs of Millington, Lisa Herndon of Henderson, TN and Trish Moore of Memphis; a son, James (Bubba) Woodard, Jr. of Millington; 2 brothers, Joe Woodard of Halls, TN and Charles Woodard of Temple, TX; 8 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by 1 grandson. The family will receive friends this evening, Monday, September 20 from 5-7p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Germantown Rd. Funeral services and interment will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 21 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, formerly Memory Hill Gardens.
