Jeffrey Lane Hughes Sr.

Jeff was only 59 yrs old. He is survived by his son and daughter in- law Jeffrey Lane Hughes, Jr. and Megan Hughes, his mother, Sandra Dial Hughes, his sister Shelly (Mike) Foster and their children, Erika, Taylor, Gage.

Jeff was born on July 13th 1965 and raised in Memphis, TN. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1984 and then went on to join a Memphis Light, Gas, and Water (MLGW) and became a crew leader lineman and retired after 27yrs. He had a love for the river and for fast boats, after retirement moved to Savannah, TN and built his home on the Tennessee River, the place he always wanted to be. Even after retirement, Jeff loved to travel and chase storms, running crews as a lineman. Those who knew him, know that Jeff was a friend to everyone, he never met a stranger. He welcomed everyone as if he had known them his whole life and would give anything to those he loved most. Jeff will always be in our hearts. He is loved by all and will be greatly missed.

A memorial will be held at Memphis Funeral Home, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway Bartlett, Tn 38133 on Saturday February 15th, 2025 from 12:00-2:00. All are welcome.
