This is my brother and friend. We grew up together in Memphis, TN.  We always had each other's back. I will miss you Jimmie. My heart hurts for how you died. You are now completely healed and really living. Love you (Judy) JoAnn 

I first got to know Jimmie on a Mission trip to the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  He was our van driver from the Fayette Baptist Association to the camp grounds there. He was an amazing driver getting us there in record time and we totally trusted his skilled ability to maneuver the roads. He was a tremendous encouragement to me as I was to deliver the morning devotional at the camp.  I was anxious because I was the only woman asked to do this speaking to a group that included about seven ministers. I had gotten up at 5 a.m. to spend time with the Lord asking for His help.  That "help" included Jimmie! He came through the chapel and sat by me, encouraging me in what I had decided to speak on. I really needed that boost! I will never forget that sweet gesture or his glowing face when he smiled. Jimmie, I'll see you later, my friend!

I am saddened for the passing of Jimmie. He and his family went to Raleigh Assembly of God with my family years ago. I remember how much he loved his girls. Later on our paths crossed again and he was the same sweet person, as I knew then.  Rest in peace, Jimmie.
