Joan Pannell O'Kelley

Joan Pannell O'Kelley, 86, of Bartlett passed away Friday, September 2, 2016 at Quail Ridge Assisted Living-Bartlett. She was a homemaker, Sunday school teacher and secretary. Eda Joan Pannell was born May 29, 1930 in Blue Springs, MS to Edmond and Allie (Luke) Pannell. She attended Holmes Jr. College in Goodman, Mississippi and was a member of Bartlett Baptist Church. Mrs. O'Kelley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Olen Pannell. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jack O'Kelley of the home; daughter, Jan O'Kelley (Bernard) Sparks of Bartlett; son, Kenneth (Dana) O'Kelley of Knoxville, TN; sister, Edna Pannell Pugh of Bay Springs, MS; grandchildren, Bob (Joanna) Sparks of Lexington, TN, Katie O'Kelley (Vasily) Lantukh of Atlanta, GA and Claire O'Kelley of Knoxville, TN; great grandchildren, Betsie and Judah Sparks of Lexington, TN and Zoe Lantukh of Atlanta, GA. The family requests that memorials be sent to Bartlett Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Bartlett Baptist Church, 3465 Kirby Whitten Road, Bartlett, TN with the interment to follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN.
