Joseph M. Knight

Joe Knight, 70, of Lakeland, TN, passed away May 3, 2012. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church where he played cello in the orchestra. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran, having served in Pakistan, and an amateur radio operator and an electronic specialist. Mr. Knight is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mavis; daughter, Audrey Davis (Steve) of Lakeland; sons, J. Paul Knight of Austin, TX and Eddie Knight (Lesa) of Lakeland; his mother, Olice Knight; sisters, Mona Vanoy and Linda Hilton; brothers, Eual and Charles Knight; and five grandchildren, Anna, Blaze, Gloria, Scout and Philip. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Germantown Rd. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
