Katherine Ann Bizzle Cokeing, 77, a resident of Cordova, TN went to be with her Lord on Saturday July 1, 2023. Katherine was born at the US Naval Air Station in San Diego, CA on February 9th, 1946 to Ralph and Jo Bizzle. The family moved to Caruthersville, MO where Katherine graduated a year early from Caruthersville High School in 1963. She received her Nursing Degree from Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis, TN in 1968. Katherine graduated from Barnes Hospital School of Anesthesia in St. Louis Mo in 1970.
Married to William J. Cokeing in February, 1970, they moved to California where she continued to practice anesthesia. Following the work, Kathy plied her trade in several states, retiring in Cordova, TN after more than 45 years.
Katherine developed an attraction to sports cars, owning multiple Porsches over the years. She was an avid quilter, a gifted gardener and loved her iris and peonies.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two older siblings Pete Bizzle and Sandra Bateman. Katherine is survived by her younger brother Robert Bizzle and two sons Christopher and Dustin all of Cordova, TN. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
The family will receive family and friends for a celebration of life on July 22nd at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens at 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN 38133 for visitation at 1 PM and the memorial service starting at 2PM.
